The blue hydrangea is a deciduous flowering shrub that bursts with color in early summer with huge blooms that last for weeks and weeks. Hydrangea comes in many colors from white to pink to blue. The white varieties bloom later in summer and last nearly until thanksgiving changing color from cream to pinkish to dark pink to brown.
The foliage on all is stunning all by itself, the flowers on some varieties can be as big as 12 inches high. They are relatively pest free and benefit from pruning once they have lost their leaves.
